I had one son, Keith, born August 10, 1972, and one grandson, Keith, Jr. I went to several junior colleges, colleges and universities over the last 40 years.

I worked for the telephone company, GTE/AT&T as a development and analyst for 25 years. I first retired in 1993 and built a log home on a lake in northwest Wisconsin. I work for the Department of Natural Resources in fire protection. I also help manage a KOA campground in northwest Wisconsin.

I invest in the world’s stock market and in several real estate developments in northwest Wisconsin. I also manage to take care of my 80 year old mother and somehow she takes care of me.

I love to bike, snowmobile, ATV ride the trails in Wisconsin. I climb 120’ fire towers in the spring and fall which is a site and challenge. I love to cut down big trees but plant ten for every one I cut down. I swim, fish and kayak as much as I can.

After leaving Glenbard, I received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, spent my junior year in Friberg, Germany, married in 1968, was diagnosed also in 1968 with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), had one son, Nathan, in 1972, moved to California in 1973, was divorced in 1975. I received a B.S. from San Francisco State University in Clinical Science, and worked as a lab-tech for 14 years.

My MS gradually worsened over this time and I wound up on S.S. disability. Over the years I have continued to play the flute, and currently manage to play in a church group and even teach a little. Music is indeed my passion. Three years ago I was privileged to receive an assistance dog from The Assistance Dog Institute in Santa Rosa, California. Her help and companionship for me are truly amazing. Fortunately, and only with her help, I can still walk a short distance. Fatigue is a big issue for me, but overall I am truly thankful.

After Glenbard I attended Miami University (Delta Delta Delta sorority, Mortar Board, etc.) and married a Miami baseball player, Bill Krintzline. We have two daughters, Debbie and Melissa, who are married and each has two children, ages newborn to four. We lived near Englewood, Ohio for 34 years then three years ago built a house on Lake Lakengren in Eaton, Ohio. We love the water and the fact that we are only about an hour from our grandchildren.

I was a stay-at-home mom for many years and then began using my teaching degree. I earned an M.S. Ed. From Wright State University in Dayton. This is my last year of teaching second grade. While at home I volunteered for many organizations and will probably continue that after I retire. Bill is a school principal and will retire this year as well. I also spent years as a soccer mom while both girls played soccer from grade school through high school. With Bill as coach, we traveled throughout the midwest to tournaments. Then he became the high school coach and won four Ohio State Soccer Tournaments with a daughter on each winning team. These great times will always be family highlights.

I enjoy traveling and seeing other parts of the country and the world. I love to read and visit with friends. I used to play bridge but now our group is known as the Talk and Eat Bunch. I can’t wait for retirement so we can travel to all the other places on our list.

I studied economics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, receiving a B.A. in 1968, and then began graduate work until that was interrupted by a two year stint in the Peace Corps in Brazil. I returned to Ann Arbor and received the proverbial ABD in economics in 1976. I had grown tired of being a poor graduate student and went to work for the EPA where I have been ever since working on ways to slow climate change. When I married in 1979, my boss came to our wedding. For better or worse, he outlasted the marriage, which bore four children, two boys and two girls. They range in age from 12 to 18 and are typical teenagers. At his 16th year physical today, Charles thought his urine sample looked too yellow so he added water. We all had a great laugh. However, none of the kids have gotten into serious trouble and all are healthy and doing well in school. Since they spend half of each week with me and half with their mom, taking care of them is almost like having a second full time job. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
