In 1937 the W.P.A. workers built the Recreation House (Boathouse) at Lake Ellyn which was officially opened on November 12. -- BUT -- I see the boat house is now a nice room (with a tile floor) That is rented out. Obviously not a place to get warm and have hot chocolate.

Weather permitting you can still ice skate (according to one article) Wonder how old that is? I don't find any other information on skating at the lake.
