| Be serious! Forty years is a long time for this little box [online form]. Since I left Glenbard, I earned several degrees at University of Chicago, have been married twice (and am still married to my second husband), lived in a few different places (mainly in Chicago, but a little bit in New York City and now in Wheaton), had several careers (all of which have involved words, writing and teaching in some way) and almost raised two children (a stepson Chris, and a son Zachary who is still in high school). I still make music and get involved in lots of different things. | ||

I have been married to Karin for 22 years with two high school students, Carl and Patricia. We live in Littleton, Colorado. The Illinois Highway Department hired and sent me to the University of Illinois immediately after high school graduation to study engineering that summer of 1964. I worked mostly on federal highway projects, which was a very big thing back then. I served three years in the Marine Corps with an honorable discharge. After that, back with engineering. I became interested in the materials end of things and spent most of my time visiting quarries and gravel pits, leading to an academic interest in geology. I graduated from Northern Illinois University, studying geology and geophysics, doing a lot of computer programming for a thesis research project. I moved to Colorado after college where I worked with computer systems for geologic and geophysical applications. I then graduated from the University of Denver with a masters degree in computer information systems. Since then I have been a co-owner with my wife in an Internet services company, WPSConsultants.com. | |

Graduated Glenbard West 1964, U.S. Navy Service 1964 through 1970, graduated California State University - Long Beach 1975, served U.S. INS Border Patrol 1976- 1997, retired U.S. Immigration Service 1998, consultant to Government, 1998-2001. Got it right and retired properly this time! Married to Registered Nurse, Marilyn, We’re both retired now. Two children, Oliver, age 21 and Victoria, age 16. I am planning to go to the 40th reunion in October. I might even ride my bike (not sure about that yet). I am presently remodeling the house, gardening, and tripping through the country on my Honda ST1100 (that’s a motorcycle). No, I won’t ever grow-up! |

I've just retired from State Farm Insurance (where my husband still works) in order to spend more time with our children and grandchildren - they are the joy of our lives. Vacation usually involves going to Colorado or Tucson to visit family and Charlotte, NC to visit our daughter. | ||

| Charlie and I have lived in California, Alabama and South Carolina over the past 36 years. We have two sons, Scott a teacher/coach in Atlanta, Georgia, and Tim who lives in Lincoln, Nebraska and is an on-camera meteorologist. Tim is married to Emma – no grands yet. Scott is single. Charlie and I both graduated from Oklahoma State, Charlie’s masters in education is from University of Kansas; mine is from University of Alabama. I received National Board Teacher Certification four years ago. We love to travel, snow ski, Charlie plays senior softball – traveling all over the southeast for tournaments. Both of us are looking forward to retirement so we can do more traveling together. We both plan to go on short term mission trips overseas, locate closer to our kids and get part time jobs out of education. I like to do stain glass; Charlie likes his ball. That will keep us busy. I still sing and act – mostly through Christian Ministries. Life is full and we are greatly blessed and thankful for our lives and each other. | ||

| I raised my two children and am expecting my first grandchild this October. I was married for 30 years. My ex decided to move on to find himself. I went back to school and got my second bachelor’s degree only this time in nursing. I completed my master’s degree in nursing just last year. Also last year I remarried. His name is Frank and he is great. I owe my ex a debt of gratitude as I feel I have grown and am enjoying life more now that I have had time to relearn who I am and what I want out of life. Frank is great and builds and repairs computers for a living. | ||

| After attending MacMurray College and graduating from University of Illinois – Chicago, I lived for a few years in Virginia with my husband, Marty Marino. We moved back to Illinois in 1972 to Champaign-Urbana, and raised two daughters, Katharine and Elizabeth. Katy is currently a “recovering lawyer,” mother of two wonderful grandchildren and living here and working at the University of Illinois. Betsy is an 8th grade English teacher in Columbia, Missouri and sings in a rock band with her husband. Marty and I divorced in 1987 and in 1998 I married the greatest man, Bob Beddini, a professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois. Bob died in October 2003 from cancer. I recently retired from the University of Illinois after 31 years in development and fundraising. I enjoy life in Champaign-Urbana, with grandchildren, gardening, and travel. | ||
